Nov. 6-7 - A Member of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdiocese of Miami
Nov 12-13 - Fr. Scott goes to Sao Paulo, Brazil to attends and speak at the First International Congress of Medical and Surgical Emergencies sponsored by St. Camillus Hospital. International Congress. See the invitation for more information: invitation_father_scott. Fr. Scott will be giving 2 talks:
Nov 12th – 08:30 – 09:15 AM (45 minutes): “Responding to the Signs of the Times: Disaster Relief and the Camillians – Part 1 ”
Nov 13th – 12:30 – 13:15 PM (45 minutes): “Responding to the Signs of the Times: Disaster Relief and the Camillians – Part 2”
Nov. 19-21 - CTF-Pastoral Centers Conference 2 in Santiago, Chile – hosted by the Camillian Delegation of Chile. This meeting follows the CTF-Pastoral Center Conference 1 held in Madrid, Spain in 2009. Here is the final statement: CTF-Pastoral Centers Conference 1 [English]. The aim of the conference in Chile will be to promote formation and to enhance the disaster-response capacity of Camillians and their collaborators in Latin America.

October 6-9 – Annual meeting of the Provincials, Consulta and Fr. General in Rome. The work of CTF-SOS DRS is presented and discussed.

October 16 - Fr. Scott returns to Haiti to resume CTF-SOS DRS relief activities – Project Perpetual Help Haiti
October 16 - Fr. Aris Miranda, MI joins Mushtak in Pakistan for assessment/relief mission.
October 16 – Project Perpetual Help Haiti - 3rd month of the Feeding and Microfinance Programs in Carcasse, Haiti (Diocese of Jeremie). carcasse is on the southwestern coast of Haiti between Jeremie and Port Salut.
October 17 – The Adminitrative Director of Health Services in Maule, Chile gives a placque to the CTF and Misericordiae as a gesture of gratitude for their gift of 2 prefabricated modules for the hospitals in Parral (pediatric) and in Cauquenes (internal medicine)
October 19 - Project Perpetual Help Haiti - Continued implementation of the Help the Spiritans Program. The program is directed at helping to rebuild the damaged structures of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit in Port au Prince and to assist it as the Congregation recovers from the earthquake – particularly as concerns the living situation of seminarians and priests.
October 20 - Project Perpetual Help Haiti - Implementation of the Sponsorship Program for Students in Port au Prince (full tuition one-year scholarships for primary and secondary school students affected by the earthquake – 70 students). The Program wll be carried out in conjunction with area schools and St. Michael the Archangel Parish

August 1 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the the Dioceses of Trenton, Stockton, and San Diego and the Archdiocese of Newark.
August 4 – John Tanyi returns to Nairobi after more than 2 months of service in Haiti.
August 8 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdioceses of Detroit and Newark and the Diocese of Trenton.
New - August 9 - Anticipated arrival in Haiti of members of Light of the World to discuss possible collaboration in medical/surgical work. August 9-12.
August 15 - Anticipated arrival in the US at SOS DRS Headquarters of Marco Iazzolino, a member of CTF Central. Marco will stay for 1 month and help with the mission in the US while continuing his CTF Central activities.
August 15 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdioceses of Detroit and the Dioceses of New Ulm and Lafayette.
August 22 – Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdiocese of Detroit and the Diocese of Youngstown.
New - August 28 - Theresia Sinaga returns to Nairobi after more than 3 months of service in Haiti.
August 29 – Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Dioceses of Reno and Hartford and the Archdiocese of Boston.

New - July 12 – Anticipated arrival in Port au Prince, Haiti of Jared Rottinghaus. He will be integrating into the new CTF-SOS DRS community/base in Solino and contributing to Project Perpetual Help Haiti –
July 17 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdioceses of St. Louis and San Francisco and the Diocese of Madison.
July 24 – Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdiocese of Newark and the Dioceses of Davenport, Raleigh, and Stockton.
July 31 – Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdiocese of Newark and the Dioceses of Stockton, San Diego and Trenton.

June 1 - Fr. Scott going back to Haiti through Santo Domingo, DR where he will meet with and thank the Passionist Sisters and Seme di Pace collaborators of the CTF-SOS DRS in the earthquake relief effort. In Haiti Fr. Scott will join Theresia, John and others in the 3rd phase of the response of CTF-SOS DRS to the earthquake.
June 1 - Fr. Sylvio [Haiti] and Jared R. [Kansas City] arrive in Milwaukee to join in the activities of the SOS DRS community there after helping Fr. Scott in Chicago with the MCP appeal in that city.
June 3 - Theresia and Fr Scott in Jeremie, Haiti for the funeral of Fr. P. R. B-Aimee, a Haitian priest of 33 years who died of brain cancer on the 21st of May. Fr. Pierre’s body arrived in Haiti on June 3. Theresia will stay in Jeremie after the funeral to spend time at St. Joseph’s Parish with the pastor, Fr. Verdieu Jouaissant. There she will be moving forward with a CTF-SOS DRS program for feeding school children affected by the earthquake.
June 5 - Abruzzo – PTSD Counseling Course Pescara - Marco Iazzolino represents CTF Central. Rainbow Study Results – Pescara June 5, 2010 were presented to the pediatricians and others.
June 5 – Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Dioceses of Dubuque and Davenport, Iowa.
June 7 - Fr. Scott going back to Haiti to continue the 3rd phase of the response of CTF-SOS DRS to the earthquake.

June 9 - Theresia returns from mission in Carcas [Diocese of Jeremie]
June 10 - Fr. Julius Morara, MI [Kenya] arrives at the SOS DRS community in Milwaukee. He will be in the US for some 2 1/2 months.
June 12 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Dioceses of San Diego and Green Bay.
New - June 15 - The Invitation to the Inauguration of La Torretta. La Torretta -aka Stella Polare [the North Star] - is a part of Project St. Camillus and a result of the collaborative efforts of Caritas Italiana, Caritas Aquila, Bambin Gesu Hospital, the CTF and IMR. Stella Polare will provide a space for children and families that have been traumatized by the Abruzzo earthquake to receive medical and psychological therapy and to participate in recreation activities. Stella Polare is one of the 3 programs of Project Saint Camillus, which now includes pastoral care for Caritas staff and priests of the Diocese of Aquila; the Rainbow Study and Stella Polare. The event is in the news!

June 19 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Dioceses of Trenton and Green Bay.
New – June 20 – Theresia goes to Fondwa, Haiti (between Miragoane and Port-au -Prince on the map) and not far from Leogane, the epicenter of the January earthquake. There Theresia will do a situational needs analysis in view of collaborating with APF (Association of the Peasants of Fondwa), a Haitian NGO run by Fr. Joseph Philippe, a Spiritan Father. This would be a continuation of the collaboration already begun between SOS DRS and the Spiritan Fathers in Port au Prince.

New - June 24 – Press Conference in Rome at 11 AM for the opening of Stella Polare House, a work that is part of Project St. Camilllus coordinated by the CTF in conjunction with Caritas, the Diocese of Aquila, Bambin Gesu Hospital and Italian Medical Research. June 26 - Members of CTF-SOS DRS will be making fundraising appeals and promoting the mission of the organization at parishes in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
June 28 - Counselors from the Center for Humanization in Madrid, Spain arrive in Chile to help with the project in Parral and Cauquenes [Virginia Castanada and Javier Martín]
New - June 30 - Board Meeting for Studio Rainbow at the Maddalena in Rome (Mother House and Generalate of the Camillians). The Agenda includes:
- The status of Rainbow Study 1 [the collection of the scheda];
- The results of the formation of pediatricians for the Study
- Neuropsychiatrists and the Study;
- Stella Polare House and the Study;
- The programmed international congress on PTSD, Disasters and Children to be held in Aquila in April 2011;
- The possible extension of Rainbow Study to Chile and Haiti;
- Discussion of Rainbow 2 – a projected study of a school-based prosocial intervention aimed at preventing PTSD in children in Abruzzo.

May 2010
May 2 - Fr. Scott travels to Petite Riviere, Haiti to participate in an ordination and for discussions with Msgr. Dumas – the head of Caritas Haiti and the ordinary of the Diocese of Ainse a Veau/Miragoane. Fr. Scott will also be meeting with the superiors of the Jean-Pauliniens, a new group of Haitian priests, in order to look at ways of collaborating with them in Haiti and the US.
May 4 - Marco Iazzolino and Brother Luca Perletti will be meeting with representatives of Misericordie in Florence in order to move towards finalizing the accord between the Camillians (mediated by the CTF) and the Misericordie regarding cooperation at the levels of organizational structure, formation and intervention in disasters and beyond. See “Accord/Accordo fra Le Misericordie e I Camilliani per collaborare nel lavoro della Camillian Task Force.
May 5 – Meeting in Rome of the board of Studio Rainbow.
May 6 - Round Table for Haiti #3 in Turin. Marco Iazzolino and Brother Luca Perletti will be there representing CTF Central.
May 8 – Fr. Scott celebrates Sunday mass with the community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Port au Prince. The Parish was totally destroyed by the earthquake on January 12, and CTF-SOS DRS is collaborating with the pastor, Fr. Frederick, to help the parsih get back on its feet again.
May 12 - World Day of Nurses - Celebration in the chapel of St. Damien. Saint Camillus is the Patron Saint of Nurses, Hospitals and the Sick.
May 12 – CTF-SOS DRS will complete its move to a new provisional base after working out of St. Damien’s Hospital since February 27, 2010. Many thanks to Fr. Rick Frechette and the staff of both the St. Luke Apostolate and St. Damien Hospital for their hospitality. CTF-SOS DRS will be sharing the new base with Landsaid, a group from Germany with whom it has been collaborating.
May 13 – Round Table for Chile #2 in Rome. Invited are Fratel Luca, Marco Iazzolino, and representatives from the Roman Province, the Daughters of St. Camillus and the Ministers of Saint Camillus.
May 14 – Fr. Scott returns to the US (Florida) to make a fundraising appeal at Blessed Trinity Parish in the Archdiocese of Miami (http://btc.blessed-trinity.org/) and to meet with collaborators and potential collaborators in the Haitian relief effort.
New - May 19 – Theresia Sinaga (Indonesia) and John Y (Cameroon) will be landing in Port au Prince, Haiti to aid in the CTF-SOS DRS relief effort there. CTF-SOS DRS is entering the 3rd phase of its presence in Haiti after first working at Foyer St. Camille and then with the larger church in Haiti – providing medical, pasotral and humanitarian relief.
May 20 – Fr. Scott travels to Rome to meet with members of CTF Central, the Board of Studio Rainbow and other friends of the CTF.
New - May 22 - Aquila – Counseling Course; La Torretta; Board Meeting – Studio Rainbow.
New - May 23 – Feast of Pentecost – Veni, Sancte Spiritus – - Members of CTF Central – Brother Luca Perletti, Marco Iazzolino, Fr. Paolo Guarise, Fr. Scott Binet meet for the day at Villa Primavera, Rome
New - May 24 - Roma – Members of the CTF and the Board of Studio Rainbow will meet with the President of Bambin Gesu Hospital to discuss both their present collaboration and new opportunities
May 25 – Feast of the Birth of St. Camillus and the Martyrs of Charity.
May 27-29 - Fr. Scott will return to Milwaukee to continue with Mission Cooperation Plan fundraising. On the weekend of May 28/29 he will be at Blessed Sacrament Parish in the Archdiocese of Chicago [ = Sts. Peter and Paul, St. Morse, Our Lady of Good Counsel]
New - May 29 – Fr. Scott returns to Haiti through Miami and Santo Domingo.
SOS DRS will be raising funds in Chicago and elsewhere to support its disaster relief efforts on 5 continents: in Chile (S. America); Haiti and the US (N. America); Italy (Europe), Philippines (Asia), Kenya (Africa).

April 5 – Fr. Scott returns to the US from Haiti after 75 days of service in the wake of the devastating earthquake there.
April 10 – SOS DRS has a board meeting in Milwaukee at the headquarters of the organization. The following day, Divine Mercy Sunday, the Sunday after Easter, those present will celebrate the anniversary of the inauguration of the headquarters. This took place in 2008 on Divine Mercy Sunday.
April 11 – Accordo fra Le Misericordie e I Camilliani per collaborare nel lavoro della Camillian Task Force dopo i disastri
April 12-13 - Members of SOS DRS and CTF Central will gather at the headquarters in Milwaukee for the second CTF Leaders Conference. We are looking forward to the presence of Brother Luca Perletti, MI and Marco Iazzolino. We hope to be in touch via audio/videoconference with other CTF leaders from different parts of the world.
SOS DRS and CTF Central are working together to respond to 5 disasters in the world: in Chile, Haiti, Italy, Philippines and Kenya. Many thanks to all of those who are part of the effort.
April 14 - Marco Iazzolino and Fr. Scott Binet, MI will travel to Chile to accompany the members of CTF Chile in their response to the earthquake there. They will also be discussing the implementation of the CTF distance learning program envisioned for Latin America that will be done in collaboration with CTF Chile and the Camillian Center for Humanization in Madrid, Spain.
April 14 - Brother Luca Perletti, MI will go to Haiti to support those responding to the earthquake who are working in the project based out of Foyer St. Camille, the Camillian Hospital in Haiti.
April 23 - Marco Iazzolino and Fr. Scott Binet MD, MI plan to meet in Boston with: Dr. Raffaele Arigliani (Studio Rainbow – IMR); Dr. Stefano Vicari (Studio Rainbow – Bambin Gesu Hospital); with Dr. William Barbaresi and his colleagues of Boston Children’s Hospital. The plan is to look at the status of Studio Rainbow [ PTSD study in Abruzzo, Italy] and to discern ways of collaborating in Italy and beyond.
April 24 - Fr. Scott and Dr. Arigliani will be going to Haiti to look at the possibility of collaborating there in a project similar to that in Abruzzo. Fr. Scott will stay in Haiti and continue his work in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti.
