Many thanks to the board of the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation (PCCCF) in Milwaukee, WI for inviting me to speak to them and for their generosity in supporting the relief efforts of CTF-SOS DRS in the Philippines after Typhoon Ketsana.
Last night, December 9, I spoke to the board about the work of the CTF in general and the Marikina disaster relief project in particular. SOS DRS together with CTF Central is sponsoring this project through the generosity of the PCCCF and several other groups from the Filippino community in Wisconsin. Many thanks to all of you including USTAAW, FAAWIS, PMAW, UP.
Also present at the meeting were the coordinators of the upcoming RMMF medical mission to the Philippines. We had a chance to discuss the possibility of a combined CTF-RMMF medical mission in the disaster-affected area where people are still suffering. Stay tuned for details and photos.
