Translator – English to Polish – News Blog and Website (Volunteer)

 

Contribute significantly and in a creative way to helping disaster victims and the operations of the Camillian Task Force – SOS DRS.  This international, Catholic, non-profit disaster relief organization based in Rome, Italy and Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) seeks a person who is reliable, hardworking and eager to assist through translating articles for its news blog and website. CTF-SOS DRS is presently planning and implementing several initiatives, and getting accurate information to members, donors and other interested parties is essential for the organization. Required is a person with Polish as a mother tongue, good writing skills, a working knowledge of MS Word, a very good understanding of written English, the time and the desire to learn about and work on the organization’s website and blog https://sosdrs.wordpress.com/, and the willingness to work as part of a “blog team”. The initial anticipated workload is 4 hours per week (1 article) and may increase depending on the availability of the volunteer. At times, the volunteer will be asked to quickly translate information of an emergency nature. After a favorable review of the initial translation assignment by Fr. Scott Binet MD MI, the blog editor, the volunteer should be prepared to make a renewable 3-month commitment, the continuation of which will be contingent upon an assessment by both parties.
