Saint Mary, Our Lady of Divine Providence, Patron Saint of Puerto Rico (Feast Date: November 19, Saturday before 3rd Sunday of November)
Extract from Our Lady of Divine Providence: “Through her motherly prayers, Mary can influence the design of Divine Providence in our regard. Her intercession with God is more powerful than that of the Saints. When Jesus entrusted you to the care of His Mother, He gave her to you to be your very own. She proves her motherly love for you by providing for your spiritual and temporal needs. Appeal to your Mother of Divine Providence, for she both understands your needs and is most willing to help you O Lord God, be kind to us who approach Your Throne of Grace with confidence, that by the intercession of the most loving Mother of Divine Providence, we may obtain mercy and find help when we need it, through Christ our Lord. Amen. . . . . Pope Paul VI, by a decree signed on November 19, 1969, declared Our Lady Mother of Divine Providence principal patroness of the island of Puerto Rico.” See PICTURE of Our Lady of Divine Providence.
